Through the JetSetting Fool website, managed by Sarah and Kris, be @ home collected a list of free activities in Lisbon.

TOURS BY THE CITY

Lisbon is made up of numerous emblematic neighborhoods and the suggestion given by the JetSetting Fools website is to make a trip by foot through these points of interest in guided and group tours. Although the visits are not paid, they require a symbolic payment at the end, a thank you for the guide’s dedication. If you want to avoid spending this money you always have the chance to walk at your own pace and start discovering Lisbon. Be @ home promises you will not regret it!

MIRADOUROS WITH VIEWS OF „GOLD“

The Miradouros and Terraços de Lisboa, however tiring it is to reach them, it is thanks to their altitude that they become so unforgettable, you can then see the whole city, the Tagus River and the 25 de Abril Bridge.

HELLO, BELEM!

At a distance of 4 km between Lisbon and Belém, it is a journey that is worth to go! Bethlehem is a city full of history and its museums and historical monuments are proof of this. „The panoramic views are impressive.“ The website says. If walking in Belém is guaranteed you do not need to spend 1 cent, just relax and enjoy the view! It is important not to forget the famous Pastéis de Belém!

THE ICONIC FAIR OF THE WOOD

According to JetSetting Fools, visiting markets and fairs abroad is a great way to to know the local life of the cities. With more than 100 years, the Fair is located near the National Pantheon and presents an exceptional variety of products from books to furniture. It is considered a fair with a miscellany of things.

THE CHRIST KING

Situated on the South Bank, the statue of Christ the King, 27 meters high offers a dream view of the Tagus River, the 25 de Abril Bridge and the great Lisbon. If you do not want to spend money to climb to the top, there are gardens open to the public and you can also visit the chapel at the base of the statue.

FADO

Although Fado is not often heard on the streets of the capital, the typical houses of Fado are not lacking. We have as a suggestion the Tasca do Chico, in Bairro Alto, where there is no entrance fee.

„Fado is to Lisbon as country music is to Tennessee: it’s iconic, and listening to the sound with soul is one of the best things to do in Lisbon.“ Said by Sarah and Kris.

WHEN THE SUN GETS

Lisbon has no shortage of beautiful sites to enjoy the Portuguese sunsets and according to the publication „one of the best places is from the riverside steps of the Cais das Colunas.“ Famous for the „resting place of tourists“, this place close of Rio is a „must“ for anyone visiting the capital.
