Feeling Lisbon

„More than visiting Lisbon it is imperative to feel it!

It is to taste a crisp Pastel of Bethlehem with cinnamon, soon in the morning, sunny, at the same time that you glimpse the imposing Jeronimos Monastery. It is to walk by the Tagus admiring the brave Portuguese navigators, feeling the sun that „warms our souls“.

Take the tram and go up to the S. Pedro de Alcântara view point and taste a refreshing Portuguese beer while admiring the Castle of S. Jorge.

It is to walk through its narrow streets, climb hills and smell its flowers in Alfama. Sit down to sample a cod speciality to the sound of a heart touching FADO. It is to climb to a rooftop and to delight ourselves with a good Portuguese wine while we admire the light of the night.

It is to go further and embark in this Lisbon that extends to Cascais, the elegant village that charms with its beaches and refreshes us with its sea.

It is to let ourselves be fascinated by its Monte da Lua, in Sintra, where we love the sound of nature and where we get lost in a magical world of imaginary, full of palaces and gardens that transport us to times of adventure and discovery, where we can eat a delicious queijada or travesseiro while we fraternize with the local people.

It is to feel this „Lisboa menina e moça“, that to everyone is enchanting with its friendliness and hospitality that makes us wish to return…“(Liliana Ferreira, be@home welcome team)
